Control of garden railway locomotives using DCC decoder on a dead rail system.
The biggest problem in running trains outdoors is keeping the track clean and maintaining good electrical connection. This system eliminates that problem.
The loco has a normal DCC decoder fitted with the electrical connection to the rails removed.
A receiver PCB assembly on board the train, provides the DCC packets via a Bluetooth App from your Android device. Within a transmitter PCB assemby, this signal is converted to a wireless message containing the DCC packet and transmitted to a reciever in the train.
The receiver is mounted within a truck or wagon behind the loco. Two connecting wires from the receiver are connected back to the DCC decoder in the loco.
